Paul Scholes is not one to mince his words.
Upon the final whistle of Manchester United’s gutless 2-0 surrender at Anfield in the Europa League, the former Old Trafford midfielder was clearly hurt by the shambles he had witnessed.
But one thing Scholesy doesn’t abide is hollow sentiments of regret. Like many United fans out there, he is sick of tepid performances being followed by a string of carefully orchestrated tweets and Facebook posts.
He made his feelings clear on BT Sport when he lamented: “Stop talking about it on social media and start playing!”
Amen Paul…
