Once upon a time, in Brasilia, a Nigerian midfielder made a ball go through the legs of a Frenchman.
The year was 2014.
And John Obi Mikel is still revelling in the glory of pulling off a nutmeg on a young Paul Pogba at the World Cup.
The Chelsea man has offered a friendly reminder that he once got the best of Manchester United’s new world record signing when the whole world was watching.
Welcome back to the @premierleague @paulpogba – looking forward to facing you again my friend 😉 🚕 ☠#EPL pic.twitter.com/Rt0bFcgnFO

To be fair, the Blues midfielder fails to address the fact that Pogba ended up scoring in the 79th minute and that France won 2-0.
But still, it looks pretty impressive and Mikel’s fans seemed to enjoy it.

Pogba is not expected to feature for United in their opening game against Bournemouth of Sunday. Having reached the final of Euro 2016, Pogba had an extended holiday in the US before signing for United.
