Sick and tired of hearing about Jose Mourinho’s potential move to Manchester United yet? Unfortunately, it seems there’s no sign of the speculation slowing down any time soon.
With so many reports being churned out on the subject of the former Chelsea manager’s future, it’s a refreshing change to hear from the man himself.
Speaking in Singapore, Mourinho had the perfect opportunity to put the rumours to bed once and for all. Did he take that opportunity? Of course not.
“I read so many different things,” he explained. “One day it says yes, another day it says no, one other day it says I go to China, another day it says I go to Italy.
“I go to Milan and people say I am going back to Inter. I’m here probably you are saying I go to Singapore national team.
“Every day new things are coming but the reality is that I have not a job and in this moment I am happy not to have a job.”

Stressing the importance of waiting for the right club, Mourinho also indicated that beginning a new job in time for next season would suit him.
“Starting next season with a new club and a new project I think is probably the best thing for me.”

For now at least, it seems he’s quite content not to have a job… although this does nothing to dispel the rumours that he’s set to take charge at Old Trafford in the summer.
Brace yourselves for another few months of Mourinho to United reports.
