As his ‘sweeper-keeper’ nickname suggests, Manuel Neuer has made a bit of a habit of vacating his goal line.
Most of the time, the German international times it to perfection, but as his Bayern Munich side hosted Juventus, Neuer made a right old mess of things.
Although some of the blame can be shared with David Alaba for not immediately dealing with an attempted Juve throughball, Neuer’s eagerness to clear the ball saw him gift the ball to Paul Pogba.
Pogba tucked it away, putting the Italian champions ahead in the tie.

And things got worse for Bayern. Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado doubled their lead on the night before the half hour mark.
