You may not have noticed it first time around, but John Obi Mikel’s reaction to Diego Costa flinging his bib towards Jose Mourinho was quite entertaining.
Arguably the most exciting moment from Chelsea’s bore 0-0 draw at Spurs happened off the pitch when a frustrated Diego Costa flung his bib toward his manager after discovering he wasn’t going t be brought on.
After finishing his warm-up, Costa took his rage out on the training gear by thrwoing his bib over his shoulder, where it just missed Jose Mourinho.
The whole incident was reminiscent of a child who didn’t get their way and considering Costa is a fully-grown middle-aged-looking man, it was quite amusing.
The reaction to the incident from the Chelsea bench was almost universally stone-faced with Costa’s teammates either choosing to ignore or simply not noticing his strop. Well, that is everyone except John Obi Mikel who maybe enjoyed Costa’s antics a little bit too much.
