That punditry lark can take it out of you.
The hours of painstaking preparation, the nerves that accompany live analysis and the adrenaline dump that follows the end of the broadcast must ensure that pundits get a cracking night’s sleep afterwards.
But sometimes, they’re just too exhausted to wait until they get under the covers and Gary Neville was so tuckered out recently that he decided to treat himself to a little snooze while nobody was looking.
Or so he thought…
Because, as luck would have it, the Sky Sports commentator and analyst was absolutely stitched up by Virgin Trains after he was caught resting his eyes on a recent journey.

Propping one’s feet up on the seats is not what you would call acceptable train etiquette and while Neville was rumbled by the train service, his punditry soulmate was busy pretending to be appalled by the former Manchester United full back’s behaviour.
Carragher took to Twitter to respond to Virgin and accuse Neville of a disgusting lack of respect.
