Wales have crashed out of the top 10 of the FIFA World Rankings despite qualifying for Euro 2016.
Chris Coleman’s men drop seven places to 15th, once again leaving them behind England who rise one place to 9th.
Despite qualifying for their first major tournament since 1958, a defeat to Bosnia – as well as the diminished value of previous wins – means the Welsh make the biggest drop inside the top 25.
Northern Ireland, meanwhile, climb into the top 30 teams for the first time since the rankings began in 1992 after securing qualification for Euro 2016, as they leapfrog the likes of Iceland and Ghana to 29th.
Scotland’s failure to get out of their group means they fall four places to 44th, two behind their former Group D rivals the Republic of Ireland who jump up 12 places into 42nd – 22 places behind their play-off opponents Bosnia.
Belgium occupy the top spot in the rankings, with Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Chile rounding out the top five.
But it’s worth taking these rankings with a pinch of salt, considering the fact Cape Verde Islands managed to climb up to 32nd spot.
