For the third successive time, Mo Farah has claimed gold in the 10,000m at the World Championships.
The 34-year-old put in a stunning display at the London Stadium on the opening night of the championships, finishing in a time of 26:48.51 – his fastest in six years.
Farah moved to the front of the field with 800m remaining, managing to keep the lead for the rest of the race despite almost being tripped on the final lap.
Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei finsihed second behind Farah with a time of 26:49.94, while Paul Tanui of Kenya claimed bronze, finishing in 26:50.60.
