Paul Scholes was notoriously quiet during his playing years but has flipped entirely since he hung up his boots and picked up the microphone.
The Manchester United legend has become one of the most outspoken pundits in the game and hasn’t held back whatsoever in his criticism of his former club, particularly during Louis van Gaal’s reign of tedium.
Scholes doesn’t mince his words and regardless of the undoubted fondness he still feels for the Red Devils, he speaks of them without emotion and, if you didn’t know, you’d swear he spent his career lining out for one of United’s rivals.
The veteran midfielder displayed that same lack of sentimentality on Thursday night when he was asked for his opinion on the Scholes vs. Gerrard debate.

On the very day that the former Liverpool captain retired from football, Scholes didn’t even attempt to throw Gerrard a bone by suggesting that the competition was close.
Instead, all he offered up was a confident exhale and a cool “No question is it?” much to the delight of former teammate Michael Owen.
