Just when Louis van Gaal thought his day couldn’t get any worse.
The Manchester United manager watched his side lose 2-1 away to Premier League newboys Bournemouth, and are now without a win in five games. Their place in the top four also looks in jeopardy as a win for Spurs against Newcastle tomorrow will take them above United.
While United can’t get a win, their former striker Javier Hernandez can’t stop scoring. The Bayer Leverkusen striker, who started the season with Van Gaal’s side, scored a hat-trick in an impressive 5-0 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The Mexican striker has now scored 16 goals in his last 12 games, just five less than his former club have managed in 16 Premier League games.
