Wenger makes shortlist for Fifa World Coach of the Year – whilst Rodgers is cruelly snubbed

As Arsenal fans start dreaming of winning their league for the first time in a decade, their manager has been recognised as one of the elite managers in the world.

Arsene Wenger has been named on the shortlist for Fifa’s World Coach of the Year, alongside such luminaries as Pep Guardiola, Diego Simeone and good friend Jose Mourinho.

Shockingly, Brendan Rodgers’ name is absent, which makes a mockery of the whole list. It seems character counts for nothing these days…
