There was a speedy turnaround of emotion
when we caught a glimpse of Raheem Sterling’s boots on Sunday.
After noticing that the Man City winger has his daughter’s name stitched into his footwear, we allowed ourselves to feel all sentimental at the sweet gesture.
But then we carried on reading down the boot and the “awww” quickly gave way to “FFS” as we spotted Sterling’s new nickname – RS7.
That’s right. An obvious rip-off of Cristiano Ronaldo’s CR7 brand, Sterling’s boots are emblazoned with the new moniker he’s hoping to be known by.
We’re not sure it’ll catch on…
