Paul Pogba’s reign as the most expensive footballer in the history of the game could be nearing its end.
As we told you earlier, a report from Marca claims Paris Saint-Germain are willing to blow a near-£200m hole in their transfer budget in order to bring Neymar to the French capital from Barcelona.
In the past, transfer gossip columns have frequently linked the 25-year-old with a move to Manchester United, a move which we should point out that the majority of realistic United supporters simply don’t see happening.
Still, even though the very same Marca report adds that United have been put off by the size of the Brazilian’s Barca buyout clause, this was never going to stop some of the club’s supporters from daring to dream.
With news of PSG’s reportedly imminent bid for Neymar making waves on social media, some United fans were already anticipating a response from executive vice-chairman and Ed Woodward…
Woodward has to go and get Neymar.

I'll be amazed if Neymar is available and United aren't in for him. That's the dream signing Woodward has always coveted! #MUFC

Marca’s report adds that as well as forking out more than double what United paid to bring Pogba back to the club a year ago, PSG would also be willing to offer him a wage packet of over 30m Euros a year.
Perhaps even this is a stretch for United…
