He’s only been a Stoke player for five minutes, but Xherdan Shaqiri is already breaking records.
The Swiss winger signed for £12m on Tuesday, taking the number of Champions League winners in Mark Hughes’ squad to five.
It looks as though Shaqiri will come good on paying back his transfer fee, though, with Stoke’s official website revealing that he has broken the record for most shirt sales.
‘Retail stores have also been receiving an unprecedented level of orders with the Shaqiri-printed ’22’ shirts already the fastest selling in the Club’s history,’ said a press release.
They probably want to know how to get legs like the winger, too.
