Carrasco presented the injured supporter with a shirt

Despite an early setback against Valladolid, second-half goals from Angel Correa and Luis Suarez saw Diego Simeone’s men secure a 2-1 victory – enough to clinch the title from city rivals, Real Madrid.
Knowing a win would seal the title irrespective of Real’s result at home to Villarreal, many Atleti supporters made journey to Valladolid’s Estadio José Zorrilla, gathering on car parks outside.
The players briefly joined in the celebrations after the game, but concerns over coronavirus protocol saw police intervene to disperse the crowds.
In the midst of this, one supporter was left injured on the floor. Although it’s not yet clear what exactly happened to him, footage shared across Spain shows how Yannick Carrasco briefly checks in on him, leaving him with one of his shirts.
Video shows the Belgium international making his way across the carpark to where the injured man is lying, briefly exchanging words with him and those standing around him.

Like Atleti, Real also fell a goal behind on Saturday with Yeremi Pino giving Villarreal the lead on 20 minutes. Late goals from Karim Benzema and Luka Modric briefly meant that a Valladolid equaliser would have seen the title go to Zinedine Zidane’s men, not Atleti.
