200 Premier League goals now for Rooney.
In terms of entertainment and drama, you’ll go a long way before topping what unfolded at the Etihad as Manchester City fought back from a goal down – and a man down – to take a point against Everton.
If Wayne Rooney could have personally chosen one stadium to score his 200th Premier League goal in, we’ve a feeling that the Etihad would be near the top of the list – Anfield might just pip it for the boyhood Evertonian.
In what was a pulsating game, the former Manchester United striker opened the scoring on 25 minutes after he slotted Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s low-ball between the legs of City ‘keeper Ederson.
Pep Guardiola’s night got worse after Kyle Walker’s was harshly dismissed following two quick bookings just before half-time.
Despite being a man down, City pushed on in the second-half and they were rewarded when Raheem Sterling punished Mason Holgate’s weak defensive header.
After the match, Rooney was interviewed by Sky Sports and he was inevitably asked about what it meant to be joining the ‘200 goal club.’
Well, you can see why Manchester United fans loved his answer.

Lots of people loved Rooney’s cheek and quick wit.
Great answer from Rooney to @GNev2 question about scoring at Etihad, 'Again' 😂 What a player Wayne Rooney!!

Wayne Rooney, when allowed to relax and have a laugh, isn't boring, stupid or aggressive. Unsurprising.
Good interview by Sky MNF.
