Real Madrid have made a habit of spending big to recruit some of the Premier League’s finest players in recent years – and reports now suggest that newly-appointed Zinedine Zidane has his eye on Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
There’s a growing feeling that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the Bernabeu in the summer, forcing Real to rebuild their team and yet again, it appears the Premier League will be their first port of call.
Having tracked Kane since last season, The Telegraph suggest that the Spanish giants will be willing to spend big on the Spurs striker – although a move is unlikely during this month.
Kane was rewarded with a new contract at Spurs a year ago and is expected to receive another improved deal in the coming months. Although the player has indicated that he has no intentions of leaving the London club, history has shown that Real Madrid are persistent when it comes to trying to acquire a player that they want.
But a separate report in The Telegraph claims that Real’s main summer transfer target will be Chelsea’s Hazard.
The Belgian has been linked with Real Madrid in the past and Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer of the reigning PFA Player of the Year.
Despite failing to hit the same heights that he reached last season, it’s claimed that Hazard will wait to see who Chelsea appoint as their next permanent manager before considering his options.
