Zlatan Ibrahimovic breaks Premier League record with goal against Leicester

Showing no signs of slowing down.

He may be 35, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is showing no signs of slowing down.

To Zlatan, age is just a number, and the least important one in the game. The most important numbers to a footballer are the score, the league table position, the one on the back of your shirt, and most importantly, the number of Instagram followers you have.

We can talk about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s numbers all day long, but during Manchester United’s 3-0 clobbering of Leicester City, the Swedish superstar reached a small but significant number, and in doing so broke a Premier League record.

With his goal in the 43rd minute, taking the Red Devils 2-0 up, Zlatan became the oldest player to reach 15 Premier League goals in a single season.

The goal was also Zlatan’s 20th across all competitions, making him the first Manchester United player to score 20+ goals in a season since Robin van Persie in 2012/2013.

And all at the age of 35. If the doubters weren’t already silenced by his performance on the pitch, well, you can’t argue with the numbers.
