Finally, it’s confirmed.

There was a sense on Thursday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United was close, and sure enough, the 34-year-old has now confirmed what we all pretty much knew already.

A simple Instagram post featuring United’s badge appeared on the Swede’s official Instagram account, accompanied by the caption ‘Time to let the world know. My next desitnation is @manchesterunited’.

Earlier in the day, rumours has swirled that United’s Megastore had jumped the gun and were printing Ibrahimovic’s name – along with a number nine – on the back of shirts. JOE have since confirmed that this wasn’t the case, and it is still unknown what his squad number will be at Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic arrives at Old Trafford following a four year spell in France with Paris Saint-Germain. It was widely reported that Jose Mourinho was keen to have him at United having worked with him during his stint at Inter Milan.
