Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s presence at Manchester United is already being felt.
Sure, he’s yet to kick a ball for them or appear in one of those utterly bizarre trailers, but make no mistake about it – the Swede is doing things that none of the club’s players have ever managed before.
Only a couple of weeks ago, we told you how, despite being a ‘shouldn’t you be retiring or joining a team in America?’ 34 years of age, the former Paris Saint-Germain striker has set new power records during his United medical.
Making history already.

The announcement that Zlatan had joined the club hardly came as a shock given the steady stream of rumours that had preceded it, but when it did come it still managed to set a new record.
The Instagram post above has now become United’s most popular social media post of all time, smashing through the half a million mark for likes and surpassing other landmark posts such as this one:

Zlatan is currently enjoying a break in America before he meets up with his new teammates. United take on Wigan Athletic and the DW Stadium this weekend before jetting off to China for their preseason plans. It’s not yet known if Zlatan will head east with his new team, with reports on Thursday suggesting he may only make his first appearance in a red shirt (albeit in a friendly) when they face Galatasaray in his native Sweden later in the summer.
