One of football’s greatest ever characters has called time on his 18 months in England’s top flight as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s spell at Manchester United came to an end on Thursday night.
Ibrahimovic bid farewell to United supporters after the club agreed to terminate his contract following a terrific debut season and an injury-plagued subsequent six months.
The Swedish forward is expected to take his enigmatic personality to LA Galaxy, having already signed a deal with the MLS side.
And Ibrahimovic wasted no time in introducing himself to his new supporters as a full-page advertisement appeared in the LA Times on Friday morning which summed him up in a nutshell.

The 36-year-old published a fake letter to the entire city of Los Angeles with the text simply reading: “You’re welcome.”
Ibrahimovic signed off by seemingly confirming his squad number at LA Galaxy, suggesting that he will return to the No. 9 shirt that he’d worn for the Red Devils until the arrival of Romelu Lukaku last summer.
Ibrahimovic has hinted at a potential return to the Sweden national team ahead of this summer’s World Cup and playing time will be crucial if the veteran centre-forward is to be in with a shot.
Having scored goals wherever he’s gone, Ibrahimovic has plans to terrorise MLS defences for the remainder of his storied career.
