People keep tasting the new Nintendo Switch games and reacting really, REALLY badly

There's a good reason behind it.

Nintendo launched their new mobile console today and while everyone should be running home to try out the Switch, those who got their hands on the device early are doing some… unusual things with it.

For whatever reason, some bright spark decided to stick one of the games in their mouths, and the reaction wasn’t pleasant.

Since then, more and more people have been doing it, despite already being told the outcome.

We guess we can kind of understand the mentality, like when you’d put the battery to your tongue despite being told you’d definitely get a mini electric shock.

Wondering why they might taste so bad? Well, Nintendo told The Verge the reasoning behind it: “To avoid the possibility of accidental ingestion, keep the game card away from young children. A bittering agent (Denatonium Benzoate) has also been applied to the game card. This bittering agent is non-toxic.”

So there you have it, they taste awful so children won’t try to eat them.

They should’ve ditched the science-y stuff and just made them taste of broccoli, that would’ve stopped the kids from even touching them.
