In space, no one can hear you swear after being killed by an online camper.

After taking us from the Second World War to 30 minutes into the near future, it’s looking like the next step for the Call Of Duty franchise is to have gamers cause in havoc in space.

This year’s Call Of Duty game will be made by Infinity Ward – the developers behind Call Of Duty entries ‘Modern Warfare’ and ‘Ghosts’ – and they are looking to take the franchise to the stars and beyond.

Call Of Duty has dipped its toe into space combat and near-future warfare before, but according to industry insider shinobi602‘s post on a NEOGAF forum, the next Call Of Duty game “makes Black Ops 3 feel like the stone age”.

Shinobi has previous experience predicting trends for Call Of Duty games, announcing ahead of time that ‘Black Ops 3’ would feature wall-running along with characters with robotic limbs.

Following an independent report from Eurogamer along the same lines, it’s looking like gamers can look forward to a fully sci-fi, space-aged adventure when the game is released sometime in November 2016 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One
