They’ve revolutionised your laptop, phone, watch and music collection, but Apple have eyes on another part of your life – the garage.
That’s right, the Apple Car has moved a step closer with the news that the Senior Vice President of Chrysler Group, Doug Betts has joined the technology company.
Previously responsible for product service and quality at Chrysler, Betts will join Apple’s ‘Cupertino’ division. He will work on Project Titan, Apple’s top secret initiative to create a next-generation electric car.
Bloomberg report that Titan is made up of over 200 staff, with recruitment increasing rapidly in recent months, “as the company sought out experts in technologies for batteries and robotics.”
Insiders believe that the first Apple Cars could hit the road as soon as 2020. Let’s hope the battery life is better than on the phone…
