What’s the point of having a really sophisticated touchscreen phone if you can’t convert it into a clunky retro gaming device?
The clever boffins at California-based company Hyperkin are working on a contraption that attaches to your smartphone to turn it into a Gameboy style console – something they’re called ‘Smartboy’.
The real beauty of the invention is that it will allow you to play your old game cartridges on your phone, with the Smartboy acting as a Gameboy emulator.
A date for distribution is TBC, but we’re getting ready by raiding the attic for our old games…
