This brilliant extension will get rid of one of Netflix’s most irritating features

Goodbye guilt

Matt Tate

When you’re half a season deep into a Netflix binge, the absolute last thing you want is an interruption that requires movement to overcome.

Case in point: the ‘Are you still watching?’ prompt that appears far more regularly that is necessary – especially if you watch a lot of shows in succession.

Come on Netflix. You know as well as we do that we’re always watching. Always. This message only gets us down.

Luckily, we have good news for the committed couch potatoes among you. There is a way to get rid of this message altogether, provided you watch Netflix in Google Chrome.

The Flix Assist extension miraculously clicks the ‘Continue watching’ box before it even arrives on your screen, so you’ll never need to be reminded of your laziness again.

That’s not all the handy extension has in its bag of tricks either. It can also remove the standard 30 second timer between episodes, meaning the next one starts immediately.

That’s extremely worrying news for your work and social life, but a godsend for the next Bank Holiday weekend. Here’s the link again. Enjoy.
