Tinder is about to test a new feature that is certainly a game-changer

Users have been crying out for it

This is kind of a big deal for Tinder users.

Tinder is about to roll out a new feature that will enable its users to see who already likes them on the app before they swipe themselves into a frenzy.

That specific feature will be one of a number of new additions available in Tinder Gold, a new, members-only service that will begin testing in certain markets in the coming days with a view to being rolled out worldwide in the near future.

As is currently the case with Tinder Plus (which includes a number of the services offered by Tinder Gold), Tinder users will have to pay to upgrade to Tinder Gold if and when it is eventually rolled out universally; it will begin testing in Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico in the coming days.

A blog announcement by Tinder on Wednesday read: “Get the gold treatment.

“We know you. You live in a world where every moment counts—where speed equals success, you’re always on the go, and you can’t let anything slow you down. Especially your Tinder feed.

“Tinder Gold, a members-only service, offering our most exclusive features: Passport, Rewind, Unlimited Likes, five Super Likes per day, one Boost per month, and more profile controls—as well as our new Likes You feature, so that you can see who likes you before you swipe.

“Think of it as your personal Swipe Right concierge—available 24/7—bringing all of your pending matches to you. Now you can sit back, enjoy a fine cocktail, and browse through profiles at your leisure.”

According to TechCrunch, once users upgrade to Tinder Plus, they will be able to see their likes on the same screen where they can currently see their matches. Users will also be able to see how many likes they have via a circle, outlined in gold.

A tap on that circle will take users to a new screen where all of their likes’ profiles are laid out in a grid which can be scrolled through vertically. From there, a user can swipe left or right on the profiles and tap on the profile to see it in more detail before making a decision.

Allowing users to see the profiles of those who like them is something that Tinder users have desired for quite some time and, though it’ll cost them, Tinder Gold could well prove very popular with the app’s millions of users worldwide.

Happy swiping.
