Car company Lexus claim to have created the board, called ‘SLIDE’, which “uses magnetic levitation to achieve amazing frictionless movement”.
Frustratingly, however, we don’t actually get to see anyone ride it in the first promotional video.
Here’s hoping it really works so we can all live out our dreams of hoverboarding around town like Marty McFly in the futuristic year of 2016.
It’s certainly a bold claim to make.
