Whatsapp has unveiled the latest version of the app, adding five new features for users.
The new version, 2.12.15, is set to offer enhanced photo, file sharing and storage features.
According to Metro UK, the five new features include:
Enhanced photo sharing:
The latest Whatsapp update will allow users to share images from other apps installed on your phone. You’ll now be able to access photos from Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive by opening the ‘Photo/Video Library’ option while in WhatsApp and selecting ‘choose from another app.’
Videos:
You can now zoom in on videos, using just two fingers to zoom in or out on smaller details similar to how users can inspect a photo.
Storage issues:
Whatsapp have worked on fixing their storage issues – which means they’ve now been able to reduce the amount of space the app needs to function on your phone.
Sending and receiving documents:
You no longer have to leave Whatsapp to send a document by email or messenger. Simply send or receive PDFs within the app from other apps including iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive.
Background design:
You’ll now be allowed to set your own desktop background – from a series of set block colour backgrounds on your phone, to selecting an image from your photo library.
The option will be available by hitting the ‘Settings’ in the Whatsapp menu.
