How embarrassing for him
Jacob Rees-Mogg was denied entry to popular student bar Revólucion De Cuba, also known as Revs, last night in Manchester after the Conservative party conference.
The cabinet minister was spotted trying to gain entry and then being allegedly turned away by a source who works at the bar. It is not known why he was turned away.
Rees-Mogg is currently in Manchester for the Conservative Party Conference, and had already encountered controversy earlier in the day when he was approached by a stand up comic who confronted him about fit-for-work tests for the disabled.

Following the confrontation, the Leader of the House of Commons must have sought to drown his sorrows in Revólucion De Cuba.
But after appearing at the doors around 12am, seemingly on his own, he was refused entry. A source who works at the bar said: “We stopped letting [people] in,” and they clearly didn’t make an exception for Mr Rees Mogg, who was turned away at the door.
Revs opening hours state that it closes at 12am on Mondays, which might explain why JRM was refused admission to the club.
Rees-Mogg was then seen outside speaking to a small group of people, including young Conservative Jordan Bhardwaj.
Jordan said: “Fancy bumping into Jacob Rees-Mogg outside of Revolution Bar at 1am!” She told JOE the two “didn’t really talk” but she still managed to nab a picture of him outside the club.
The source at the bar says after Mogg was denied entry “all the other Tories inside ran to the door to get a selfie with him.”
Yet not everyone in Manchester is feeling as welcoming towards the MP for North East Somerset.
Manchester resident, Lois, 22, told JOE: “I would not want to be in the same bar as Jacob Rees-Mogg. Besides the fact that Revs turning him away is absolutely hilarious, I feel that Revs made the right decision with the tension the Tory conference has caused in Manchester.”
Revolución De Cuba declined to comment.
