Monopoly has changed forever.
Yeah, the iconic board game responsible for many a family fight has changed three of its playing tokens, and there’s no going back.
A T-Rex, a rubber duck, and a penguin will replace the traditional thimble, wheelbarrow and boot with the news coming just in time for World Monopoly Day which takes place on Sunday.
Earlier this year, the bosses behind the board game asked viewers to vote for their favourite replacement tokens with reports estimating that 4.3 million people from over one hundred countries got involved.
Thankfully, all is not lost, for the dog (phew), battleship, cat, racecar and top hat tokens will remain, with the three new additions to be unveiled this autumn.
