Jaime’s reaction says it all.
Given the fact that Game of Thrones is confined to only eight seasons, it’s inevitable that certain characters feel like they’re not quite as developed in the TV show as they were in George R.R Martin’s novels.
Euron Greyjoy is definitely one of these characters because there’s so much more to the captain of the longship Silence than meets the eye. After arriving on Pyke and killing his brother Balon, Euron informed us all that “I am the storm – the first storm, and the last” and he’s been a force of destruction ever since.
Aside from making the lives of Yara and Theon a living hell, this season has seen a very noticeable rock and roll swagger being injected into the persona of the King of the Iron Islands.
To begin with, he arrived at King’s Landing like a man that’s on a mission and he didn’t disappoint. After throwing some very thinly veiled insults at Jaime Lannister, Euron laid out his intentions to marry Cersei and become the king of the Seven Kingdoms.
In order to do so, he delivered Cersei the ultimate wedding gift in the most badass way – the capture of Ellaria Sand, her daughter and Yara Greyjoy after his fleet annihilated his niece’s during that superb naval battle.
Upon returning to King’s Landing, Euron was hailed and cheered as he marched through the streets, but Jaime Lannister is definitely not a fan of his.
While in the throne room, Euron proceeded to push Jaime’s buttons by asking him about what Cersei enjoys in the bedroom, which left the Kingslayer looking absolutely appalled.
This being said, people were only commenting about one particular remark.
