A life-saver.

There we were, thinking that the list of ‘things an iPhone can do’ had been exhausted – how wrong we were. As it turns out, they can even save your life too.

Many people may have already been aware of this, but a Facebook post by an emergency room nurse working in the US, that has been shared nearly 750,000 times (at the time of writing), suggests that many iPhone users are only recently discovering it.

The Facebook post by Katherine Jarmy alerted iPhone users to the fact that all of their important medical information (Emergency contacts, date of birth, medical conditions, blood type etc.) can be accessed on their iPhone – even when the phone is locked.

To set it up, all you have to do is click the Health app on the iPhone menu screen, access the ‘Medical ID’ option at the bottom corner of the screen, and input all the necessary information.

It only takes a minute or two and it could be a massive help in an emergency; who knows, it could even save your life.

God bless you iPhone.
