Six hysterical moments from last night’s I’m A Celeb

Amir and Iain provided us with the laugh of the series

Day 11.

We were promised an epic episode last night and although it was by no means epic, there was one special moment that everyone was talking about.

That’s right, Rebekah found out that she had low blood pressure! It was an unexpected twist that no one saw coming. She was trending worldwide on Twitter as viewers tried to come to terms with the fact that her health was below average for a short period of time.

What a whirlwind of an episode!

Here’s six moments that were actually pretty funny though.

1. We learned that Stanley Johnson can’t throw for shit

During the Bushtucker trial, Kez and Stanley had to work together to answer some relatively easy questions correctly, then it was up to Stanley to land the correct ball into the large bucket shown on the right of the screen. Granted, he was being spun around quite slowly at the time, but it still wasn’t a huge ask.

Stanley quite literally made a balls of the entire thing. The man doesn’t have any aim, to the point where it’s worth checking into the medical history of his ancestors to see if there’s some sort or hereditary condition in the family whereby they can’t aim for shit. It was worrying to watch. Medic Bob was on hand.

2. We learned that Kez doesn’t know the words to ‘Jingle Bells’

One of the quiz questions involved determining how many times the word ‘Jingle’ appears in the chorus of ‘Jingle Bells’. Kez immediately started to sing the song aloud so as to ascertain an accurate answer. In doing so, she has destroyed her reputation beyond repair by revealing that she doesn’t know the proper words.

“Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle far away”, she sang, much to the disgust of the nation. Riots broke out across Britain, with people in the streets chanting “Kez is stupid”. It’s hard to find sympathy for a woman who thinks those are the correct lyrics to ‘Jingle Bells’. She’s over. She’s done. Her career is ruined.

3. Amir Khan had to wear a cat costume for a task, but then continued to wear it for the rest of the day

When Iain and Amir reached the trial, Iain quickly ascertained that someone needed to dress up as a cat, so he nominated Amir. With very little resistance, Amir donned the cat suit and informed the viewers that it was his first time wearing a cat suit and indeed “being a cat”.

It was easy to believe it once Amir had informed us. Sure, many viewers might’ve suspected that Amir Khan had been a cat prior to now, but his insistence that this was his first time would’ve quickly quelled those suspicions. He obviously enjoyed being a cat as Amir continued to wear the outfit until later that evening.

4. Kiosk Keith refused to take part in a high five with Iain because he hates everything

After Iggy Pop’s appearance on the previous episode, things were back to normal at the kiosk in the jungle as Keith returned to his post. When Iain and Amir, who was for some reason still dressed as a cat even though the task had long ended, learned that they’d secured strawberries and cream, they were elated.

Iain went in for a high five with the notoriously professional Keith, and was denied any response whatsoever. It was a joy to watch a disappointed Iain’s face drop as he realised that Keith wasn’t going to break character for him. Amir Khat came to the rescue and provided a paw, proving that he is a good lad.

5. IAIN AND AMIR SCOFFED THE PRIZE ALL TO THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY ARE BIG BLOODY LEGENDS!!!

With credit to Iain, it was all Amir’s idea and he bullied him into doing it. Regardless, it was easily the best moment of I’m A Celeb so far this series. To see two grown men, one dressed as a cat, sitting on the muddy jungle ground divvying up some strawberries and cream was a once in a lifetime experience.

They were giddy, fully aware that their fellow campmates would be livid if they ever found out. But they didn’t care. Iain and Amir worked hard on that task, they were starving, they deserved a treat. If they brought it back to camp, they would’ve gotten one strawberry each at the very most. I stand with Iain and Amir.

6. Dennis Wise was raging so he decided to punish the boys because he is the camp’s purveyor of justice

When Iain’s guilt got to him and he finally confessed the crime, everyone was pissed. But nobody in camp was more pissed than Dennis Wise, who put on his best ‘I’m not mad, just disappointed’ face for all to see. He was seething, so he quickly snapped into firm but fair parent mode.

Dennis announced that Iain and Amir wouldn’t be getting any treats from future tasks as a result of their actions. He used a tone of voice that we hadn’t heard yet, one that suggested that he is capable of homicide if needs be. As the old saying goes, hell hath no fury like a Dennis Wise done out of some strawberries and cream.
