Excuses. We all have them. Hell, the JOE office probably wrote the book.
‘I’m too hungover’. ‘I’m too drunk.’ ‘I’m too old.’ ‘My cat ate my gym shoes.’ ‘The large muscular lady on the front desk at my gym intimidates me.’
But you won’t hear any of these excuses from the incredible Will Bill – the man’s 60 years old, has arthritis and nerve damage and is still out training.
He started doing callisthenics training two years ago – and now works out with kids more than half his age.
Seeing him effortless doing pull-ups and abs hold or nailing muscle-ups like a pro, is inspiring enough. But his mindset and attitude is even more incredible.
“In life if you want to do something to succeed, you’ve gotta be willing to step out and take a risk,” he says.
“A lot of people say ‘I can’t do this or I can’t do that’ like my friends who are 50, but I’m 60 years old and I’m doing stuff that I never could do when I was 18 years old.
“A journey of 1,000 miles starts with one footstep. You gotta start doing it. You’ve gotta make an effort to so something.
“Stop saying ‘I can’t’ and start saying ‘I can’.”
