EastEnders viewers were gripped to TV screens on Thursday evening as Phil Mitchell finally discovered that his wife Sharon had been hiding a huge secret.
Viewers already knew that Sharon had stolen the cash from Aidan Maguire’s heist scam but Phil was none the wiser.
As those watching Thursday’s show will know, Phil was originally suspicious of Mel Owen and thought she was the person behind the theft.
At this point, Sharon feared her husband was on her trail and thought it better to confess.

However, he had no clue at all that it was his wife who was guilty and of course, this revelation came as a major shock.
