I mean, technically, he was absolutely right
Oof. What a day. What. A. Day.
There we were, thinking Manchester United’s 6-1 capitulation at home to Tottenham had hogged every single headline. We were wrong. Very, very wrong.
The final game of Super Sunday saw champions Liverpool visit Aston Villa, a game many probably thought was something of a formality.
Liverpool were slightly depleted. Thiago Alcantara and Sadio Mane had tested positive for coronavirus earlier in the week and this was followed by news that Alisson would be absent after picking up an injury in training.
Not to worry though. Adrian would be deputising, and even if he had a shocker, it couldn’t possibly see him ship more goals than United earlier in the afternoon. Right? Right?
Wrong.
Honestly, when Craig Goulden, Liverpool fan and presenter of Anfield Agenda, said Adrian won’t be conceding six, it didn’t exactly feel like a bold prediction. But then Adrian did concede six. And then one more.

In an incredible game at Villa Park, Dean Smith’s men ran riot – thumping the champions 7-2.
Technically, Craig was absolutely spot on. Adrian didn’t concede six. But this hasn’t stopped a clip of his prediction being shared high and wide on Sunday night.
