Teenager says the day he got the botched haircut was “the worst day” of his life
A 19-year-old man who had been waiting several months for a haircut during lockdown has finally had a trim, but he is not happy with how it turned out.
Thomas Haggarty, from Paisley in Scotland, got his hair cut on the first day hairdressers reopened in Scotland, only to find that he wanted hairdressers to be closed down again, after his not-so-fresh trim.
Taking to Twitter to share a picture of his new hair, Haggarty said: “4 months av been waiting for a haircut. Only to be hit with this. @NicolaSturgeon do us all a favour and close them again love.”

Haggarty reportedly booked an appointment with his local barbers in advance of the shop’s reopening, the Daily Record reported.
He visited the same barber shop for six years prior to the incident and would normally get his hair cut every three weeks, according to the Daily Record.
The teenager told the Daily Record: “I was buzzing to finally get my hair seen to, but it just turned into the worst day of my life.
“I’m one of those people who just lets the barber get on with it, I’m quite shy that way. But as time got on, I was proper starting to wonder what was happening,” he added.
“When it got to the end, I just paid up and was like ‘see you soon’ – but I can’t see myself going back.”
