Salt Bae breaks the internet once again
The internet has been left bewildered after hearing Salt Bae’s voice for the first time – and come to think of it, we have never heard it either.
Salt Bae, real name Nusret Gökçe, posted a video to Instagram that revealed his voice to his 40 million followers.
The restaurant owner says: “Hold on, hold on. I wanna say something about London,” before pushing himself away from the table and making a rainbow shape with his hands.
He continues: “London is my big dream. Some day, next day, every day. All the time. I love London.
“London is different.”
The person holding the camera then asks him how his English is coming along, to which the social media icon replies: “My English almost like a British.”
Imitating native speakers he says: “‘You know’… ‘cheers’.”
He concludes with a smiley: “Hope to see you soon London.”
Though the video was only posted an hour before this piece was written, it has already received just under 800k views and thousands of comments.

Most comments question why we have never heard his voice before, while others are highlighting how funny he is.
The first comment reads: “First time ever hearing him speak.”
“You are an odd bloke aren’t you,” writes another.
A third commented: “What’s wrong with your mouth man?!”
Salt Bae has continually hit the headlines in recent weeks thanks to his enormous prices, elaborate stage presence while serving food and of course how much he pays his staff.
Reality TV star Gemma Collins has previously eaten at his restaurant, here’s what she said:
“I have to give the ambience of the restaurant, the experience, a 10 out of 10.
“The bill was another situation, I was in utter shock. But you have to weigh these things up, the press reported that my steak cost £700, if only they knew.
“I wish it cost £700. It actually cost £1,450.”
