‘My friend messaged me asking if I was a pornstar and my heart sank as I didn’t know how she knew’
A British couple with two children who started selling videos of them having “realistic” sex to help cover their mortgage payments, now make £35k a month.
Jess Miller and her husband Mike started producing content for Pornhub and Only Fans as a side hustle but four years on, they now have 900,000 subscribers.
The couple, who have been together 10 years, told their story to Real Fix, which features real people telling extraordinary stories.
Jess, a former semi-permanent make-up artist, from Southend, Essex, said making adult content, “never gets boring”.
The 33-year-old said:”I doesn’t really feel like were pornstars – as we’re just doing what we normally would but filming it. A lot of people who watch us say it’s nice to see real love.”
Mike added: “I get to have sex with my wife every day and love life and get paid for it. “It’s great and made us stronger as a couple.”
The 34-year-old met Jess in August 2012 while working as a personal trainer at the gym she went to. Mike asked her on a date to Thorpe Park two months later and they became a couple on the same day after a first kiss confirmed that Jess was “the one”.
“When I first saw Mike I thought: ‘How have they got someone so fit working at the gym?” Jess said about meeting her husband-to-be.
The couple married in June 2017, and had a son, who is now eight. They are also bringing up Jess’ daughter, 12, from a previous relationship.
The pair started posting videos on Pornhub in December 2018 and believe their content helps other couples.
Jess said: “People like to watch us too because we’re a real couple and tell us it’s even saved their relationship – it’s done wonders for our relationship too. “It’s brought us closer together and our bond is stronger than it’s ever been. “It’s made our relationship even better, it’s stronger than ever.”
Mike added: “We were struggling to have quality time together because we were stressed with our businesses so I thought this might be a great side hustle for us.”
“As soon as he suggested it, I said yes straight away,” Jess said.
A bit over a year later, the couple revealed their secret job to friends and family.
Mike said: “We decided we wouldn’t tell anyone to start with, but it only took a month for someone to find out.
Jess said: “My friend messaged me asking if I was a pornstar and my heart sank as I didn’t know how she knew.
“So, I told my mum from there and she was really chilled about it.”
“All our families care about is that we are happily married and that we love each other.”
Eventually, they confessed to their children what they did for a living in 2020.
“Our eldest knows pretty much everything,” Jess said.
“I ask him what he thinks and he just says: ‘It’s none of my business.'”
The couple gets requests from subscribers and plans their content each week.
“I’ve had someone ask me to dress up as Elsa and play the Frozen song in the background,” Jess said.
“I said no to that one. We’ve made £150 just for a video of us tickling each other.”
The pair have also recently started introducing a third girl to their videos.
“It was nerve-wracking, but we see it as work and we’re all professional,” Jess explained.
The couple said it has also improved their own relationship and brought them closer together.
“We do get nasty comments online, but it doesn’t affect us,” Mike said.
“We’re happy and our kids are happy so that’s all that matters.”
