Cadbury’s have the Dairy Milk and Nestlé have the Kit-Kat. That’s how it has always been.
But now the tides could be turning in a way we never could have imagined.
Next time you’re in need of some four-fingered chocolate and wafer goodness at an unspecified mid-morning interval, you might have a strange new thing called choice.
That’s because Nestlé have lost a bid to trademark the Kit-Kat’s recognisable shape.

The internet is already speculating about the name of the new bar, if Cadbury’s do decide to exercise their option.

So, no luck with the trademark appeal but Nestlé still have kopyright on the name.
