The last thing you want to do on Valentine’s Day is p*ss off your significant other, which means there are a few common habits that we need to avoid.
If you’re getting ready for a romantic meal out on February 14, it turns out nabbing food off your partner’s plate is a big no-no.
At least that’s the case according to a survey from Beefeater, which found that more than half of men and women in the UK would be a surefire cause of a Valentine’s Day argument.
If you’re one of those people who lets their food go cold just to get the perfect Instagram photo, we’ve got some bad news for you too – almost one third of those surveyed cited it as a potential cause for concern, deeming it a bigger problem than more obvious contenders like mentioning your ex.
Also high on the list was arguing over the bill – while some believe guys offering to cover the whole thing is gentlemanly, others will argue that those who don’t at least offer to split the bill first are behind the times.
Top 10 causes of Valentine’s Day arguments:
- Partner stealing chips (52%)
- Instagramming food (32%)
- Who pays for the meal / splitting the bill (31%)
- Flirting with staff (29%)
- Referencing ‘the ex’ (28 %)
- Bad manners (24%)
- What series to start on Netflix (19%)
