This is how long Brits wait to have sex with a new partner

It's not like the old days, eh!

How soon is it cool to have sex with a new partner?

Well, the average British couple are knocking boots not long after getting into a relationship, according to new research by extra-martial dating site IllicitEncouters.com.

The study into ‘relationship firsts’ which questioned 1,000 Brits claims it only takes four dates before people are jumping into bed together.

Bearing in mind couples asked were going on an average of two dates a week, that’s not that long at all.

It only took two dates before couples were sharing a first kiss. But it took a full 14 dates for most respondents to drop the L bomb – but it was overwhelmingly men (72%) who said ‘I love you’ first.

The survey revealed that 58% of women expected men to say it first and around a third would never say it, even if they were head over heels in love.

It’s six months before couples are booking their first holiday together and 30 weeks before they’re moving in with each other.

“None of us is going to jump into bed with a guy the first night we meet him,” said one website user.

“We may not even be ready to kiss him by then.

“But you can get to know a man fairly well after four dates. You know if you trust him and if you want to do something as intimate as having sex.

“Once you are confident that you have real chemistry, it is great to introduce him to your friends.”
