This is what blokes lie about most on their dating profiles

Look, we all know when you’re selling a car you’re probably not going to showcase the dents and scratches.

It seems the same logic applies when people “advertise” themselves on dating apps, as it has been revealed that 52% admit to telling a white lie on their dating profiles.

Research commissioned by iD mobile found that a whopping one in two people tell fibs online in order to paint themselves in the best light possible.

Like selling a car, blokes aren’t always up front about how many previous owners.

We’re not at all surprised by the stat that almost one quarter of men have lied about being in a relationship. Just ask Benjamin Hurley how that worked out for him.

However, men are most likely to lie in their ‘interests’ section, with 33% admitting to being dishonest when filling this part out. If you’ve ever written ‘poetry’, ‘long walks’ or ‘cuddling’ in your bio, hands up.

Interestingly, women are more likely to lie about their height than men, with 15% of women being “more economical with the truth” in this department.
