The Economist Intelligence Unit’s twice-yearly report has identified the most expensive places to live in the world, and it’s no surprise to see London in the top 10.

For those of you who live in the English capital, you’ll be more than aware of that burning sensation in your pocket every time you go on a night out.

And anyone who comes down on a weekend trip always gets that Monday morning fear when they log on to check their bank balance.

It turns out there are more expensive places to live than London, though, with nearby Paris putting an even bigger dent in the monthly paycheck.
