Apparently the way to a women’s heart is through her belly. And more specifically, by catering to her sweet tooth.
According to new research by Optiwell, 4 in ten women would rather give up sex than snacks. Yep, 40% of women would choose a cookie over nookie, a marshmallow over a fellow and a Twix over… well, you get the picture.
The survey focused on women’s snacking habits and found some pretty interesting similarities.
A third of women are likelier to cut down on snacking by seeing unflattering photos of themselves online, compared to only a quarter of men.
It found that 27% of women are motivated to snack less for a swimsuit holiday compared to just 15% of men.
The sofa is the snacking epicenter, with 52% of women and 44% of men admitting it’s where they are most likely to treat themselves.
And a third of adults said workmates were to blame for tempting them to tuck into biscuits, cakes, chocolates and crisps during office hours. That sounds about right.
