It could be a scandal too far for bulletproof Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson.
Controversy-hit Clarkson could be about to get bombed out of the BBCÂ as reports emerge that TVÂ bosses have made up their minds over his future.
The 54-year-old was suspended over allegations he attacked a TV producer after being told he could not have steak and chips at a Yorkshire hotel.
Head honchos at the BBC were investigating the incident and are expected to announce their decision over Jezza today.
One million people had signed a petition to save the under fire presenter which was delivered to BBC HQ by The Stig riding atop a huge tank.
Even people power and support from Prime Minister David Cameron may not have been enough to save him from the chop.
Twitter isn’t reacting very well to the news.
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s thoughts…
How stupid can BBC be in firing Jeremy Clarkson? Funny man with great expertise and huge following.

Gob-on-legs Katie Hopkins seems genuinely upset too…

Some looked at it more philosophically…
At least we've all learned the lesson of how to spell 'fracas' http://t.co/iD85d9egwy #Clarkson
