Now’s your chance to take the Iron Throne.
Don’t be too discouraged by the fact that there are very little titles currently available in Game of Thrones. As we all know, people have a tendency to die in Westeros and while Cersei Lannister might be feeling pretty good about herself on the Iron Throne, we reckon that her position is very tenuous.
If you were to star in Game of Thrones, what role/title would you like? Nothing could ever top (deep breath) Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, the first of her name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Protector of the Realm, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Queen of Meereen and Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea.
Still though, maybe you can manage to beat her?
Maybe the Iron Throne could be yours – you know, if you actually have acting skills and a classically trained RP/BBC English voice.
The uberly brilliant fan site Watchers on the Wall are reporting that the Game of Thrones producers are currently looking for the following people to fill these roles.
Young Lord in his late 20’s. He’s tall, handsome and must be available for one week shoot in the week of filming beginning on September 20.
Lovely Lady. Do you know any attractive young ladies that are looking for a “good speaking part” but are will to do full frontal nudity?
Lieutenant, in his 20’s. The character is described as an athletic, physically fit, and disciplined warrior. Someone of Middle Eastern descent is preferable and they must be available from mid-September to mid-November.
Gate Guard, in his 20’s. The character bio is defined as someone who is a “confident, characterful, straight-talking Northern lad with a great face to play across a very excellent series of scenes.” The filming schedule is from mid-October and mid-November.
City Guard, in his 30’s. Could you play a city guard that intercepts a suspicious-looking person on his nightly patrol?
Warrior, in the 35–45 age range. They need someone who’s tough and great at fighting. He has a “considerable” amount of dialogue as well.
General, in the age range 40 – 55. Do you have an aura of gravitas and military distinction? If so then you might be getting some work from the week of September 6.
Merchant, in his 40’s. Fancy playing a trader in Westeros?
Priest, in his 60’s. It’s time to channel all those masses that you went to.
