Few have been hit as hard by Covid-19 than the homeless
The United Kingdom has been hit extremely hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Tens of thousands have died and the economy has taken a devastating blow.
An unseen impact of the virus has been the effect that it has had on the homeless community in the country, the majority of whom do not receive help from the government.
Homelessness is rife in London, and even more so since the pandemic struck, so this man decided to try and help as best he could.
After setting up an appeal on Instagram, he’s used his van to collect donations of tents, sleeping bags, clothes and other essential items which can help make the difference.
“A lot of the channels that were helping homeless people have been erased. Shelters have closed because of Covid.”
