After smashing box office sales on it’s opening weekend only to be declared the ‘best worst film of all time‘ by many critics, things didn’t look like they could get much worse for Zac Snyder’s Super hero epic.
At least that was the case until Batman vs Superman opened and China this week. It flopped there too, being rated one of the worst films ever by the Chinese equivalent of Rotten Tomatoes.
Still, some people believe the bad reviews will have literally no negative impact on the film’s box-office gross due to the size and sheer ruthlessness of the PR campaign surrounding it.
So far the film has dropped by 81% at the UK box office in less than one week, a considerably worse drop-off rate than Fantastic Four, Watchmen and Nolan’s Batman The Dark Knight Rises.
This fight is over–BATMAN V SUPERMAN had the biggest 2nd weekend drop (-68%) of any Batman or Superman film ever.
